It encompasses the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of diseases, injuries, and malformations. The field includes procedures such as the removal of wisdom teeth, correction of jaw misalignments, treatment of facial injuries, and reconstruction of jawbone structures. This specialised yet highly complex discipline requires in-depth knowledge of head anatomy. Practitioners must complete degrees in both medicine and dentistry, followed by several years of specialist surgical training.
Apicoectomy (Root Tip Resection)
An apicoectomy is a minor surgical procedure performed when an inflammation or infection at the tip of a tooth’s root cannot be treated by conventional means. The inflamed root tip is removed and the root canal sealed to eliminate infection and promote healing.
Skin Surgery
One of our key areas of expertise is the removal of benign and malignant skin tumours. We assess skin changes using gentle diagnostic methods and tissue sampling, and perform aesthetically refined corrective procedures when necessary.
Wisdom Teeth
Wisdom teeth usually emerge between the ages of 18 and 30. Due to evolutionary changes, many jaws are too small to accommodate them, making removal advisable to prevent crowding and inflammation.
