Dysgnathia
Dysgnathia We specialise in the treatment of jaw misalignments (dysgnathia). Our scientifically based methods take into account not only the correct alignment of the teeth but also the function of the jaw joints and the aesthetics of the face. We explain our treatment concepts clearly and work closely with orthodontic specialists. Dysgnathia refers to a misalignment of the jaws and teeth resulting in an incorrect bite. In cases of skeletal dysgnathia, the position of the jaw within the skull is affected, which can often lead to facial asymmetry. The most common causes are growth disorders, with trauma or inflammation occurring less frequently.
Crossbite
The treatment of malocclusions (incorrect bites) is divided into four phases, with the aim of correcting tooth misalignments, closing gaps, and eliminating crowding.
Underbite & Overbite
The goal of treatment is to reposition the upper and/or lower jaw so that the teeth fit together precisely once again.
Open Bite & Deep Bite
An open bite typically appears in a long facial type, while a deep bite is associated with a compressed facial appearance. Both are accompanied by functional disturbances.
Nose & Chin Correction
Following successful treatment of a malocclusion, achieving new facial symmetry and harmony through nose and chin correction is often the finishing touch for patients.
